Qualified to MIL-DTL-22520/7* and AS22520/7*, the Cablegia® MH860® is a recent addition to the military specification. It was developed to meet the demonstrated need for supporting the majority of electrical systems with one versatile crimp tool frame.
The MH860® accepts the entire middle wire range of 16 through 32 AWG, with positioners that adapt it to virtually all applications consistent with others in the MIL-DTL-22520 family.
Also available is the Cablegia123 tool kit containing the MH860® tool frame, tool gage, and all mil-spec positioners. Also included in the Cablegia123 are tool instruction sheets and a tool selection chart.
System usage notes
- The frame alone cannot crimp. The MH860 must be fitted with an 86-series positioner (M22520/7-xx). Positioners of the AF8 (TH/TP/UH2-5) or AFM8 (K series) are not interchangeable.
- Selector = crimp depth. Set the SEL knob to the value printed on the 86 positioner data plate - never guess by wire gauge alone.
- Machined contacts only. This tool family covers 16-32 AWG machined pin and socket contacts (M39029 series). For stamped and formed contacts, insulated terminals, splices and coax, see the corresponding die-type tool families.
- Periodic calibration. Verify crimp-head closure with the G145 gage at SEL 8, or with the 88-700 full-cycle gage set covering SEL 1-8.

Limited Warranty & Limitation of Liability
Cablegia Tool Manufacturing warrants that all newly sold tools are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions and proper service use. Cablegia’s liability under this limited warranty is exclusively limited to free repair or, at Cablegia’s sole discretion, a full refund of the purchase price for any defective unit.
This warranty applies for a period of ninety (90) days from the delivery date to the original end user. Eligibility requires that the defective product be returned to Cablegia with all transportation charges fully prepaid. Upon Cablegia’s inspection confirming material or workmanship defects, the aforementioned remedy shall take effect.
This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, abuse, misuse, improper operation, unauthorized modification, or accidental damage. This warranty supersedes all other express or implied warranties of any kind. No additional warranties, whether oral or written, shall be valid or binding upon Cablegia except as explicitly stated herein.

Extended Warranty Policy: Standard crimp tools are covered by a 1-year limited warranty, and tool positioners are covered by a 5-year limited warranty.
Returns Policy
Only standard, unmodified Cablegia products in unused, resalable condition and purchased within three (3) months are eligible for return. Custom-made items and special order products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
All approved returns are subject to a restocking fee of up to twenty percent (20%).
Return credits may only be redeemed on a dollar-for-dollar basis toward future purchases of new Cablegia products via official purchase orders.
